1. Could you please define Engineering in your own words?
Well, I think it is the application of scientific and mathematical principles tobe use in the design, manufacture, and operation of efficient and economical structures, machines, processes, and systems. Engineering also involves people, money, materials and energy.

2. What influenced you to pursue Industrial engineering?
At the beginning I really didn't wanted to study this carrer, I always thought in studying computer engineering. But I think I just liked the profile of an industrial engineer, and the possible work areas where he or she could work. Only then I made my mind and decided to study Industrial engineering.

3. Could you please describe the educational process required to become an Engineer?
It has a lot of maths, physics, economy, but in my carrer (industrial) it basically teach you how to think in order to make a better use of the resources.

4. What are the skills you need to be a good engineer?
You have to use a lot common sense, but you only get that with experience. In addition, you also need to be organized, proactive, honest, creative among others.

5. What job considerations were you looking for after you completed your education?
I'm thinking in working for a big factory, maybe working in an oil company, or anywhere where I like the job that I'm doing and where I can get a big paycheck at the end of the month, hopefully!

6. What's something of your school life that you enjoy the most?hanging out with my friends, going to parties, enjoy life without a lot of worries.

7. from your perspective, what is the most difficult part of being an engineering student?

Well, dealing with the stress of maths, I think that's the most difficult part.

8. What are your plans for the future?

Finish my carrer, get a good job, get married and have 2 children.

9. Point out your most personally gratifying moment in Engineering school.

It was when I realized what can I do to improve processes, making better choises, and helping bussiness to be more efficient.


10. Why would you recommend Engineering as a career?

Well, that question is hard to answer, because I like what I'm studying but there are many engineers unemploy nowdays and you have to be a really good student o be really lucky to get a well paid job. But if is what you like.. GO FOR IT!
